Part of the front on the right hand is set back and is of stone ashlar.
It is a 3-storey, 3 window neo-classic front circa 1840. Sash windows
with glazing bars on second floor only. Chamfered quoins. Coved cornice
with honeysuckle enrichment. Dormers. Central 1st-floor window has flanking
scrolls and semi-circular tympanum enclosing base in low relieft. Projecting
Roman Doric porch has fluted columns and antae. Porch cornice has enriched
cove similar to main cornice. Vine ornament to frieze. Enriched door
panels. Staircase wing at back has round-headed windows. Now a boarding
house for Sherborne School.
