Former lifeboat station. 1875. Local slatestone rubble walls with firestone
dressings. Gabled slate roof. Rectangular plan with entrance in gable end facing
beach.
Exterior: single storey with attic. Gabled facade with offset buttresses, coped
parapet and apex finial. Altered entrance partly filled in, perhaps after earlier
enlargement. 2 roundels in gable with monogram A E (?) and Prince of Wales
feathers with a masonic device. Jet tied bay window in gable with canted sides,
wooden casement windows. Side walls have 4 shoulder-headed openings with slotted
louvres or casements. External stairs on road side. Boarded door at rear.
Included as a virtually unaltered example.
