Small house. Later C17, extended in C18 and C19, altered in C20. Plastered
rubble walls possibly incorporating some cob. Thatch roof, gabled to right end
and hipped to left. Brick gable end stack. Rendered stack behind left-hand end.
Plan: originally 2-room plan and at one time two cottages. Now one large room
with fireplaces in right-hand wall and on rear wall at left-hand end. Newel
stairs behind right-hand room. Probably C18 outshut behind left-hand room. C19
leanto against right-hand end extended in C20.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2-window front, 3 on ground floor. C20 2-
light casements of various types. Central ground floor window is in former
doorway. C20 stable-type door to right under thatch hood. Leanto against right-
hand end with C20 addition behind it. Rear elevation has C18 leanto to right
under catslide roof and stair projection to its left.
Interior: Right-hand fireplace has chamfered unstopped wooden lintel, left-hand
fireplace has replaced lintel. Stone newel stairs. Probably original substantial
straight principal rafters visible on 1st floor.
