House and shop. Probably early/mid C19. Colourwashed and rendered ; slate roof,
gabled at ends ; left end stack with brick shaft.
Plan: At the front there is a large room to the left and a shop to the right
incorporating a shop doorway to its left.
Exterior: 2 storeys. The 3-bay front elevation incorporates a good C19 doorway
integral with the shop window centre and right under a continuous fascia with cornice
and dentil frieze. 2-leaf glazed door to the left with Gothick ogee arches, the door
flanked by pilasters with sunk mouldings, applied rosettes and curved brackets. To
the right a shop bay window with a brick plinth, the window of 7 cast iron lights
plus 1 to each return with depressed ogee Gothick arches and little motifs in the
spandrels. C19 16-pane sashes to ground floor window left and first floor centre ;
outer first floor windows are probably later C19 2 pane sashes with margin glazing.
A pretty and unusual C19 shop front.
