Farmhouse and outbuilding. Late C17 or early C18 with later addition and
outbuilding. Coursed rubble, the house roughcast; slate roof. East elevation
of 2 storeys and 4 bays, 4th bay probably later. Square windows with chamfered
reveals and casements, those to 4th bay have narrower chamfers. Plain entrance
with half glazed door to 4th bay. Gable-end stack and 2 cross-axial stacks,
that to north of 3rd bay is squat. Rear has later outshut under catslide roof,
canted stair bay and sashed window. Outbuilding extends to north. Central
segmental-headed barn entrance flanked by inserted windows, entrance, now window
to south, to north an entrance and pitching hole above, and later extension with
2 entrances, one wide, with segmental head. Gable-end has 1st floor entrance.
rear covered by corrugated iron lean-to shed. Interior of house has fireplace
with heck partition and spice cupboard with butterfly hinges and drawer below.
Court cupboard in partition wall has decorative relief panels, no crest with, to
rear, inlaid decoration to panels. Winding stair. Said to have had date: 1728
inside house (not seen).
