Farmhouse. Dated 1829, with addition of later C19 and few later alterations.
Granite rubble with granite dressings. Partly slate-hung. Slate roof with ridge
tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with rendered and granite shafts.
Plan: Double depth plan, with central entrance and principal room to front left and
right, each of equal size. Kitchen to rear left and unheated dairy to rear right.
At the right side is an unheated 2-room plan addition of the later C19, with larder
to front and second dairy to rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys, a symmetrical 3-window front. Central C19 panelled and glazed
door set in a round granite arch with datestone, 1829, over. C20 glazed porch, and
C19 16-pane sash to right and left. First floor has three 4-pane sashes of later
C19. All windows have cambered granite arches with keystones. Set back to right is
the lower 2-storey C19 addition, with half-hipped roof. Two single lights at ground
floor, first floor has 4-pane sash with brick segmental arch. The right side has two
2-light 8-pane casements at ground floor, and one central casement at first floor.
The left side is slate-hung with rag slates. At the rear is a central C20 rendered
porch. To right there is a 16-pane sash to the kitchen, with 12-pane sash and 16-
pane sash above. Central round-arched stair light with glazing bars and radial
glazing bars in the arch. To left there is a 2-light 8-pane casement to the dairy
and 16-pane sash at first floor. All windows have cambered granite arches.
Interior: The dairies have slate floors and slate shelves. Dog-leg stair with stick
balusters; at first floor there is a wide segmental arch at landing level.
