II
Cottage. Circa mid C19. Local shale rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof with gabled ends and red clay ridge tiles. Small red brick shafts to gable end stacks.

Plan: the original plan was probably two principal front rooms with an entrance lobby and straight staircase between and shallow service rooms at the back.

Exterior: two storeys. Symmetrical two window front. Original twelve-pane sashes with granite lintels and slate cills. Central doorway also with granite lintel and a small rectangular overlight and a C19 six-panel door the top panels with round heads. A very small C19 six-pane sash on the left-hand side at the rear. Small C20 single storey outshut at the back. Including a low stone rubble front garden area wall and gate-piers. The gate-piers are small granite monoliths, square-on-plan, with rounded tops; the wrought iron gate is C20.

Interior was not inspected.

The cottage is situated facing the head of the creek at Porth Navas and makes an important contribution to this attractive village.
