House and shop premises, circa mid-C19. Stone rubble with granite quoins and
dressings. Slurried scantle slate roof with clay ridge tiles. Brick chimneys
at gable ends (rendered on right). 2 storeys, almost asymmetrical, 3 window
front. Ground floor with C19 shop front on left comprising two 16-pane windows
flanking, partly glazed later double door within rectangular fanlight. Timber
fascia with cornice above supported on 4 timber brackets. Partly glazed
entrance door to right with a 12-pane sash window (without ears). On first
floor are one 4-pane sash window on the left and two 16-pane sash windows
without ears in the centre and on the right. Timber workshop to rear and a
late-C19 single storey extension with rubble walls and slate roof to the right.
Originally shop used as a post office. Included for group value.
