Detached Cottage, C18. Exposed rubble stone, mostly serpentine with whitewashed
left-hand gable end (south-east). Renewed timber lintels to openings. Thatched
roof with brick chimneys at gable ends. 1 1/2 storeys, almost symmetrical. 2
window front. Ground floor with 8-pane C20 French window on left and 12-pane
2-light casement window on right-hand side. Partly glazed C20 entrance door in
centre. Above ground floor windows, two 2-light 12-pane casement windows. In
left-hand gable end, 12-pane 2-light casement window on first floor. On right-
hand gable end, 4-pane top hung window. C20 outshut at rear. Brick chimneys at
gable ends, including a stepped stack of early brick on right. Chamfered timber
beam to fireplace on right with quirk and curved tongue stops. Cloam oven.
(Roof timbers not inspected).
