9/14 Lifeboat House
GV II
Lifeboat house now used by local fishing industry. Circa 1867 stone rubble
walls with granite dressings and quoins. Slate roof. Gabled end with large
central opening to beach which is across road. Wooden double doors with some
later boarding. Square loft opening with granite dressings above in gable end.
South west side (on left) with 2 tall granite dressed rectangular openings. On
north-east (right) 2 similar openings. That on left has barometer and small
fishing painting behind glass in opening. Stream flows down beneath building.
Station closed in 1963. Included for group value.
