Quays. C18. Mostly vertically-set slightly battered shale rubble with iron stapled
dressed granite copings.
2 roughly rectangular quays projecting westwards into the Penryn River and with dock
between.
It is thought that Dutch engineers were employed in the C17 to construct the earliest
examples of quays of this sort.
