Cottage, C18, extended in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roof thatched. 2 bays,
with chimney at NE gable, original doorway (and probably original door-leaf) near
middle of NW side. C19 lean-to extension with tiled roof to Sw. C20 single storey
extension with tiled roof to rear of SW end. Flat-roofed single-storey extension
to NE. 2 storeys. On ground floor, 3 C20 wooden casements (including one in lean-to
exension), on first floor 2 C20 wooden casements. Gabled to NE half-hipped to SW.
Timber frame exposed internally. Straight tiebeams, unjowled posts, primary straight
bracing. This cottage is well constructed with straight timber of good quality,
and is remarkably unaltered since then. C20 stair in same position as original
stair. Clasped purlin roof.
