House. Mid C19 with C20 alterations. Painted slatestone rubble. Hipped slate roof.
Stacks to sides with rendered shafts. Rear rendered.
Plan: Double depth plan ; the house is built into the bank, with entrance on the road
side to a 2-storey front ; at the rear the house faces the River Tamar, and has a
basement, probably originally used as a boatshed. At ground floor there is a small
room to left and larger room to right, heated from the stacks at the sides, with
shallow rear service rooms.
Exterior: Road front of 2 storeys, a nearly symmetrical 3-window front ; ground floor
has three C19 12-pane sashes and 6-panelled door with overlight set second from left.
First floor has two 12-pane sashes and central narrow round-arched stair light. At
the right side is a C20 lean-to porch and C20 2-storey addition set at the level of
basement and ground floor. Left side blind. At the rear, the basement has 2 C20
casements and central double doors with segmental arch. Ground floor has a central
later C19 square bay window with plate-glass sashes, 12-pane sash to right and left.
First floor has three 12-pane sashses, all with cambered brick arches.
Interior: Not inspected.
