7/303 The Snead

- II

House. Late C17, extended early C18 with late C19 and some mid-C20
alterations. Brick with tile roof, external gable end stacks. South (garden)
front: two storeys with attic lit by two gabled dormers, in two parts, to left
is the addition; right-hand part, band to first floor dentilled, dog tooth to
ground floor band, brick coped verge; central projection (full-height), probably
porch with shaped gable, three windows: timber cross-windows; ground floor:
2-light casement under segmental head in porch, probably a blocked doorway;
left-hand part: band to each floor; two windows: timber cross-windows; ground
floor: entrance to right has a four-panelled door with radially glazed fanlight.
Interior: staircase is an open well with turned balusters, close and moulded
string.
