1/2 Farm buildings north of
Alpraham Hall

GV II

Multi-purpose farm buildings circa 1860. Red brick with tiled roofs,
2 storeys, 7 bays to each wing. "L" shaped plan. Half heck doors on
wrought hook and bands set into stone blocks. More recent sliding
doors, some with upper section glazed. Mild steel hopper light
windows to ground floor, gabled half dormers with cast iron lattice
casements at loft level. Ledged and battened loft doors, single under
semicircular arch in the north building and externally opening in
pairs to the east building. Circular pitch holes with stone sills,
now mainly glazed internally.
Interior: Softwood beamed floors and softwood roof timbers, some
framed in the traditional style.
