4/42 Barn south of Woodhey
Hall

GV II

Barn, early C17, remodelled circa 1870. Brick nogged timber frame and
brickwork with tile roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Stone plinth, remains
of timber frame with angle braces in north and south elevations but
many areas rebuilt in brick. The east gable has flush stone quoins.
Boarded doors on strap hinges.. Modern hopper light windows. Single
3-light cast iron lattice windows at first floor level.
Interior: Queen post trusses with purlin struts and high level
collars.
