TL 5867 BURWELL THE CAUSEWAY

14/2 Methodist Chapel

II

Chapel built in 1835 with symmetrical facade of three 'bays',
extended with matching details in 1914 by one 'bay' to south and
east. Gault brick, hipped slate roof. Plastered, round headed
brick arches to four windows with glazing bars shaped to arches,
and entrance with double, boarded doors and round-headed
fanlight. Plastered blind arch above door with moulded
inscription 'Wesleyan Chapel' 'Erect 1835'. Interior has a pine
boarded ceiling.
