Small early C18 2 storey house; former Vicarage. Vitrified brick with red surrounds
to windows now painted over. Slight plinth, 3 course band at 1st floor level almost
entirely lost because of cornice to fascia; plaster or wood eaves cornice. Early
tiled roof with one hipped dormer, casement, brick chimney stack at rear. 3 windows
to 1st floor, glazing bar sashes in plain, wide wooden cases, near flush framed,
square heads. Frieze and cornice over plate glass shop window and right hand door
with 3 pilasters with incised panels, 2 to doorway and one to left of shop window.
'L'-shaped plan with tiled 2 storey extension to rear.

Nos 36 to 58 (even) High street form a group [Nos 54 and 56 are of local interest]
