2 cottages. C17. Cob and stone mix, rendered, under a gabled end thatch roof.
Probably originally a single 3-room, cross-passage dwelling. External rear
lateral stack and right-hand internal end stack. 2 storeys. Front: 5-window
range. Two 3-light upper barred windows, C19 casements; 2 C20 1 and 2-light
casements. Door (probably to former cross passage) to right under thatched
porch; another C20 timber porch. Interior: left-hand cottage (no.2), main room,
formerly the Hall, with 3 axial beams, chamfered with hollow step stops, and a
single cross beam with step stops at intersections with axial beams. Roof space,
and no. 1, not internally inspected.
