Former schoolmaster's house. Probably 1851, contemporary with adjacent school
(q.v). Local stone rubble, front end is snecked grey limestone and has sandstone
ashlar windows; stone rubble stacks with brick divided diagonal chimneyshafts; slate
roof.
Plan: house is built at right angles to the adjacent school, its south-east end
onto the street but entrance from the schoolyard on the left (south-west) side. The
main front room has a lateral stack. There are 2 rooms behind with opposing lateral
stacks. 2 storeys.
Exterior: front is in same Tudor Gothic style as the school, a stone-mullioned 3-
light window with hoodmould to each floor. Roof is gable-ended. Doorway towards
front end of left side now contains plain C20 door and overlight. Other windows
are C19 and C20 casements.
Interior: not inspected.
