Magdalen House

GV II

House. Probably C17 timber-framed core to which is applied a
late C19 red-brick skin. Slate roof. 2 storeys. 5-window
range. Central 6-panelled door, the panels fielded. Fretlight
over. Moulded doorcase with decorative strapwork frieze. 4
horned sashes to ground floor, 5 to first floor, all with 15/1
sashes and set beneath gauged skewback arches. Gabled roof. 2
stacks to rear slope. Single-storey extension to west: similar
fenestration, gabled slate roof and ridge stack.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
