Pair of houses, attached right to Greystones (qv). Early C19.
Squared and coursed stone, slate roofs.
2 storeys, 3+2 windows, all original 16-pane sashes in plat
band rendered surrounds and stooled stone sills. Centred to
Riverview is a 2-panel door with small transom light, and
between window bays to Stayer Cottage a gabled porch with C20
door. A straight joint to the right; the left end is double
hipped, with a central 16-pane at eaves level above a low
gabled wing which is set as a bridge across the river. There
are 2 eaves stacks to the front and to the rear, which has
four 16-pane sashes at eaves, above a late C20 conservatory to
Stayer Cottage, and two 16-pane to Riverview. The River Wey
flows immediately behind the rear of the cottages, and returns
under the bridged end.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Probably built at the same time as the Spa (qv), opposite, and
serving it in some subsidiary way.
