Churchyard gates and walls at St James' Church

Churchyard gates and walls. Late C18 and early C19. Rubble stone walls and ashlar gatepiers with iron gates. Rubble stone retaining walls with triangular sectioned rubble copings encircle the churchyard. To west side they ramp upwards to a pair of plain tapering stone gate piers with moulded cornices. Between the piers are a pair of plain semi-circular headed gates with fleur-de-lys finials and above is a simple scrolled overthrow. Included for group value only.
