House on end of row. Late C17; mid C19 addition. Coursed and
random rubble limestone (painted on corner block); ashlar and
artificial stone chimneys; concrete tile roof. Two-storey with
attic and cellar; L-plan addition forming block on corner of
George Street and High Street. East end: gable end with single
chamfered cellar and 2-light attic casements; C20 ground floor
casement. Gable-mounted chimney with chamfered cap. South side:
2-window 2-light chamfered mullioned fenestration with hoodmoulds.
Some alterations including 2 gabled roof dormers. North side:
corner block has single-window casement fenestration to each face,
all with stone lintels. Angled corner has doorway altered by
insertion of C20 fixed-light. Roof hipped to corner; single
north-facing gabled dormer. Interior not inspected. Holds
important position at corner of 2 roads in centre of village.
