(east side)

GV II

Detached house (part formerly shop). Early C19. Random rubble
limestone; ashlar and artificial stone chimneys; stone slate
roof. Two-storey with attic; 2-storey projecting front wing;
attached outbuilding to rear. Front: 3-window fenestration to
upper floor, all sashes with stone lintels; central 12-pane and
outer 16-pane. Roughly central doorway with ribbed door and
decorative light over; 16-pane sash to left; shop window and
doorway below timber fascia to right. Timber casements to
projecting wing, doorway on south side grouped with casement under
combined timber-lintel . Gable end chimneys including one to front
gable of wing. Upper floor level casement to front of wing, north
west corner being rounded. Two-storey outbuilding to rear has
single north-facing segmental arched casement to each floor.
Interior not inspected. Important position at road junction.
