23.1.52 incorporating two out of three barns
formerly listed separately)
GV II
House and adjoining barn converted c1977 for domestic use. House
late C17-early C18. C20 flat-roofed extensions not of special
interest. Limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins. Stone slate
roof with ashlar stacks. Rectangular plan to main body with gabled
2-storey stairs projection off-centre right on the south side.
Converted barn attached at rear right-hand corner. Extension at
right angles rear left (also probably converted). Two storeys and
attic lit by two 2-light C20 roof dormers with wooden casements.
Fenestration otherwise 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements with
leaded panes. C20 two-light stone-mullioned casements to ground
floor of stairs projecton. C20 glazed door with glazing bars to
left of stairs projection under a stone-tile roof set in the angle
between the main body and the stairs projection. Sundial with a
metal gnomon in the gable of the stairs projection. Gable-end
stacks with skirtings and moulded cappings. Interior not
inspected.
