GV II

Stableblock. Circa 1800. Yellow brick with slate roof. One and
a half storeys rectangular building facing S but with W and E
ends treated decoratively with bargeboard on 2 extended purlins.
Circular fan-glazed windows below each purlin, and at E a central
upper door with segmental arch and 2 wide arched openings to
ground floor. Wide doorway on left with 3 centred chamfered
head. Round arched window on left with curvilinear early C19
fanlight re-used on upper part. W end (The Cottage) with 2
recessed sash windows below the 2 circular windows. A similar
window and 4-panelled door on the S return. N side has 2
circular windows flanking a half-glazed door with margin lights.
Formerly listed with Hill House. Included for group value.
