House. Circa 1700, probably including older structure at SE
corner. Extended to W in C19. Timber frame with mathematical
tiles under plaster lined as ashlar at SE. Red brick painted at
rear, stucco W part of front with raised quoins and rusticated
entrance. Steep old red tile hipped roof rising higher with
central axial chimney in formerly symmetrical E part. 2-storeys.
attics and cellar. 2 + 3 windows S front with 2 gabled dormers
in roofslope of E part with 2-light small paned casements. Over-
sailing eaves with moulded cornice and plastered soffit. Low
plinth. 3-window E part has flush box sash windows to upper
floor with 6/6 panes and louvred shutters. Flush C19 French
doors in centre (position of former entrance) and on right. Left
hand window replaced by canted parapet bay in stucco to match
similar bay window on C19 W extension beyond the new front door.
This has a 4-panel moulded door in a glazed panelled screen.
Recessed sash window over with 6/6 panes. Triple sash over
further bay window. Rebuilt conservatory on W end. 2-windows E
elevation has 8/8 paned flush box sashes to upper floor and
similar windows to ground floor with sills lowered in C19.
