GV II

Lodge. 1888. Built to serve Collett House (not included), when
drive, formerly a public right of way, brought into private
ownership. Brick ground floor, studded and pebbledashed upper
floor, brick chimneystack, with projecting diagonally set
ribs, and oversailing courses, machine tiled roof. Arts and
Crafts Tudor style building.
Single storey with attics. Ground floor has mullion and
transom windows, with lattice leaded glazing and metal opening
casements. Canted bay windows on left hand (west) elevation,
and at right hand of south elevation, facing road, beneath
oversailing first floor carried on timber brackets. Entrance
on west elevation with door within projecting timber studded
porch beneath gabled tiled roof. First floor pebbledashed
infill panels. Projecting oriel window carried on wooden
brackets, with lattice leaded glazing, at right, and dormer
with mullion and transom window, with lattice leaded glazing,
and gabled tiled roof at left. Forms group with the gates and
railings (qv).
