Dated 1827, Horseley Ironworks (of Tipton) cast iron roving bridge. Unusual
at this date in being a virtually flat span of 2 single castings with pierced
x pattern parapets, the deck panels bolted into lower flanges. Ashlar
footings on swept English bond brick abutments, double ramped approaches.
A roving bridge type establishment on the BCN contemporary with Telford's
improvements.
