C1835-40 detached stucco villa with rich late Grecian detail, earlier than
rest of street. Two storeys, 3 bay symmetrical front, articulated by giant
order of fluted Corinthian pilasters with large capitals, rising from
plinth; deep frieze, projecting cornice and parapet with panels of blind
linked 'portholes' in line with window bays. Large, architrave framed
sash windows with consoles to sills, eared on ground floor with cornices,
the right hand window altered to pilastered canted bay. Central entrance
with 6 panel 2 leaf door and rectangular fanlight in panelled reveals, framed
by broad architrave studded with rosettes; projecting cornice set above and
scrolled pediment with acroteria and anthemion motif. Set back service wing
to south screened by swept wall containing coach house doors.
