House. C17 or earlier, altered with brick casing at rear in C18, brick
front when altered to 4 houses in C19. Timber frame exposed at gable
ends with red brick infill panels, red brick casing to front and rear in
Flemish-bond. Steep old red tile roof. A long 2-storey building facing W
with floor levels higher in S part, but roof uniform. 4 windows long
front with 2-light flush Yorkshire sliding casements with small panes
under the eaves. Similar windows on ground floor below, but outer ones
renewed as casements. 2 plank doors side-by-side in centre under a wide
open timber porch with gabled tiled roof. 2 large chimneys in the front
slope, and single-storey extensions set back at each end. N gable
exposed frame with jowled posts and collar-and-queen struts truss for
clasped-purlin roof.
