Former stables complex to Goodrich Court (demolished) now divided into four
tenements. Dated 1888. Red brick, ashlar dressings, tiled roof. U-shaped
plan with chamfered corners, head groom's house (The Stables House) to
south-east end, main coachway at north-west corner. Two storeys and attic,
moulded string course. Tudor arch with string-course raised over as square
label and decorative spandrels to entrance at north-west corner flanked by
single square-headed windows, 3-light stone mullioned window above in half
dormer with shaped gable and finial, central lantern with ogee capping,
similar lantern to north-east corner. Central shaped gable to half dormer
with 3-light stone mullioned window to east flank, range of square-headed
windows to either end flanking five C20 inserted glazing bar casements to
ground floor. Decorative pair of octagonal shafts to axial stacks, two
to each wing. Gabled dormers with decorative bargeboards overlook court-
yard, 3- and 2-light stone mullioned windows. Three Tudor arched carriage
entrances to north wing with glazed cast iron canopy.
