House. Probably early C17, refronted early C18 with some mid-C19 and late C20
alterations. Timber-frame with rendered infill mostly clad with rough cast
brick- under a hipped slate roof with swept eaves. H-plan, the central,block
aligned north-east/south-west. Main stack placed laterally on rear (north-west)
wall of this portion. South-east front has 3 + 2 + 3 windows, all boxed glazing
bar sashes. Entrance to right of centre, with a moulded wooden architrave and
door of six panels. The whole of the centre has a lean-to slated canopy. Framing
visible to rear is four square panels high. Interior: room to south of entrance
has early C18 bolection moulded panelling. (RCHM, 3, p 40, no 6).
