Description


HANBURY CP DROTWICH ROAD (north side) SO 96 SE 4/86 Mere Green Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. Late C18 with mid-C19 alterations. Brick, plain tiled roof and external gable end stacks with offsets. Two storeys, cellar and attic with dormers; cogged eaves cornice. Three bays, all windows have cambered heads, 3-light casements in outer bays, 2-light casement on first floor of central bay, three gabled dormers with 2-light casements; central entrance has a gabled, timber-framed porch on a brick base with balustered sides; the timbers are chamfered and there is a long-lobed trefoil opening in the gable apex; the 6-panelled part-glazed door has a cambered head. Attic light in left gable end. Interior not inspected. A substantial farmhouse accompanied by a good group of farm buildings (qv).
