House. C17, restored mid-C20. Timber-framed, painted brick and rendered
infil, brick replacement walling, thatched roof. Four framed bays aligned
north/south with large external chimney at rear and at south gable end;
single storey and attic with dormers. Framing: mainly three panels from
sill to wall-plates, collar and tie-beam trusses with three struts to collar
and V-strut in apex. East front elevation: irregular fenestration; ground
floor has one single-light window and one 3-light casement and two 2-light
casements; three eyebrow dormers, each have a 2-light casement window; central
entrance has a decoratively carved lintel of probably C17 date, and a C20
multi-paned door. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior not inspected.
A C20 single-storey extension to the rear north bay links the building with
a large C20 extension, neither of which is of special architectural interest.
