II
Manse to Congregational chapel. Circa 1830. Stuccoed stone. Pantile hipped roof. Stacks at sides with rebuilt brick shafts.
PLAN: Double-depth plan with principal rooms at front on either side of central entrance hall with stairs and service rooms at the back. C19 2-storey addition and small single storey extension at rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay south front. Tall 20- and 24-pane sash windows; central round-headed doorway with large semi-circular fanlight with radiating glazing bars and C20 double-doors. At rear, north, 2-storey C19 extension on right with lean-to roof and small late C20 addition in angle on left.
INTERIOR: Open-well staircase with stick balusters and moulded handrail ramped up to column newels. Moulded door architraves; doors replaced. Various fireplaces with plain chimneypieces and Victorian grates, kitchen fireplace in rear north east room and original moulded chimneypiece and grate in first floor south west room.
