Obelisk to Thomas Daniel Doddrell (d.1840)
Buff coloured sandstone. A tall obelisk, with shaft c.3 metres high, placed on a pedestal with a moulded cornice, which stands on a stepped base.
HISTORY: this large obelisk, among the earliest monuments at Arnos Vale, would have formed an important landmark in the cemetery, as it stands at the top of the steps which lead up the southern slope of the cemetery.
