Pair of terrace houses. c.1781 rebuild. Multi-coloured stock brick,
concealed roof. 4 storeys. Each of 2 windows wide. No. 37 has mid C.19
wooden shop front to corner with Romilly Street, glazed and panelled shop
door flanked by display windows, fascia with bracketed cornice, square
headed house doorway with fanlight to Romilly Street. No. 38 has house
door to right, square headed with panelled door and fanlight, and wooden
pilaster framed mid C.19 shop front with inswept frieze to
entablature-fascia - the display window altered. Upper floors with
recessed glazing bar sashes under flat red brick gauged arches (glazing
bars missing to 2nd floor of No. 38). Stucco plat band to 1st floor;
parapet with coping. 2 blind windows to Romilly Street return.
