Substantial mid C19 villa built by Thomas Cubitt. Three storeys and basement,
3 windows. Low-pitched hipped slated roof has deep modillioned eaves soffit above
moulded cornice. Stucco with first floor and cill strings, and ground floor vermiculate
quoins. Moulded architraves to sash windows with glazing bars (missing on ground
floor) except for first floor centre window where long casement opens to balustraded
balcony over prostyle Doric porch with filled sides and door set in glazed front
between square columns. First floor windows have cornices and segmental pediments.
Ground floor windows have cornice and projecting cills, both on console brackets.
Rear elevation similar but with cast iron balcony along ground floor left and
one-storey and basement canted bay, with dentil cornice and balustraded parapet,
at right.
