Originally 2 semi-detached houses, now single office
use.c1830-40 with later extensions and alterations including
extension to west return pre-1886. Red brick with stone and
stucco dressings. 2-span slate roof with parapeted gables.
Rendered east elevation. 2 party-wall stacks with oversailing
details and pots. West wing has hipped slate roof with
similarly terminated end stack.
PLAN: double-depth, originally with side entrances, access now
via small single-storey wing to east return-elevation. Main
house of 3-storeys and basement. 6 first-floor windows. Stone
detailing includes cornice, blocking course and porch. 6/6
sashes except to first-floor which are 3/3, all in plain
reveals with stucco sills and flat gauged brick arches.
Entrance set back at right; 4-panel door, lower pair
flush-beaded, upper pair glazed and with scrolled cast-iron
external grilles; radial pattern fanlight; decorative ceramic
tiled floor to Doric-style porch, surmounting balcony has vase
balusters. Later wing is of 2-storeys. Tripartite window to
ground- and first-floor, 6/6 flanked by 2/2 sashes with brick
separating piers. Two and three-storey service ranges to rear.
