Terrace of 4 houses, numbered right to left, described left to
right. c1820-40 with later alterations and additions including
those of mid-C20. Red brick with painted-stucco dressings
under hipped roof, main roof is slate but end houses (Nos 9and
12) have red clay tiles. Party-wall stacks, some rebuilt, with
oversailing details and pots. Designed to look like one pair
of semi-detached houses with entrances to Nos 10 and 11 in
facade; entrances to Nos 9 and 12 in return elevations.
3-storeys and basement. 6 (1:2:2:1) first-floor windows with
2-storey service wing set back to west and rear. Stucco
detailing includes sills, cornice and blocking course. 3/3
sashes to second-floor otherwise 6/6, all in plain reveals
with sills and gauged brick arches, exception is later solid
bay to left ground-floor under hipped tile roof with 1/1 sash.
Open pedimented doorcases with from left: 6-panel door, bottom
pair flush beaded, upper 4 glazed; replacement 6-panel door;
radial pattern fanlights. Otherwise entrances to east return
is a timber doorcase with canopy, C20 multi-pane glazed door,
and to front of west service wing a C20 single-storey entrance
bay with replacement 6-panel door.
