Old Basted and Cottage now attached at west end

Farmhouse. C16, restored in earlier C20. Ground floor of painted rubble stone to
right, painted brick under gable to left. Timber-frame exposed above with herringbone
brick infilling. Jetty on exposed joists and brackets under gable to left. Some
curved braces. Plain tiled roof and return gable to left with decorated
barge-boards. One ridge stack off-centre to left, one double stack off-right at
right-hand end and one behind ridge at left. Two storeys; 3 window front. C20
lattice casements. Central oriel window on first floor. C18 cottage, attached by
6 ft wall with central arch, at left-hand end coursed rubble stone with red brick
dressings, tile-hung above. Plain tiled half-hipped roof. North front of one-storey
with attic. Two windows, diamond lattice casements, and central semi-dormers.
