C16/17 house. Coursed stone rubble house with new tile roof, one end hipped,
the other with coped gable. Two storeys and attic. Nine window range. Mostly
C18 sashes with glazing bars. Some ovolo moulded stone mullion windows with
cornices. Doorway with shell hood on shaped brackets, now supported on wooden
posts. Blocked stone windows in west gable end. Ashlar ridge stacks with
cornices. On north side there is 6-fielded - panel door in moulded stone architrave.
Three flat roof dormers on north side. L-shaped on plan with C18 wing to north-east
also stone rubble with new tile roof and datestone in gable end "T" over "1704".
Moulded panelled door in the angle. Interior: early C18 fielded panelling in room with
moulded cornice and bolection moulded chimney piece and doorway architraves. Another
room of circa late C17 with moulded panelling and cornice. C17/18 dog-leg staircase
with moulded string and with turned balusters. VCE Northamptonshire Vol II.
