13/78 The Post Office

GV II

House, now partly Post Office. C17 and C18/19. Whitewashed coursed
limestone rubble with timber lintels; thatched roof with brick ridge-stack;
Welsh slate and old plain-tiles at rear. 4-unit lobby-entry plan extended at
rear. One storey plus attics. Plank door to right of centre flanked by 3-
light C18 casements with 3-light leaded dormers over. Shop-front to left with
third dormer above. Ovolo moulded wood-mullioned window in left gable wall.
Interior: Fireplace with cambered and chamfered bressumer; timber-framed gable
now internal, forming first truss from left; C19 bakehouse wing to rear.
Possibly originally 2 houses.
