Probably C16. Prominent position facing down Gravel Hill. Timber framed,
eastern or main facade plastered, with gable. Old tile roof and brick
stack. 2 storeys, 1 sash window in gable end and 2 below with central
door. All sashes with glazing bars. Side, or northern facade, red brick
with exposed timber framing, 1 window and door under small flat hood.
Gabled dormer above. Formerly Basket Makers Arms Inn.

The raised pavement and wall forms part of a group with Nos 5 to 19 (odd)
the South Oxfordshire Technical College Old School and Main Buildings,
Nos 43 to 49 (odd) and the wall and gate piers to former Paradise House.
Ancastle Cottage, Nos 2 to 36 (even) and the pavement surface in front
of Nos 2 to 36 (even) opposite. Ancastle Cottage also forms a group with
the entrance walls, piers and gates and the lower lodge of Friar Park.
