Church of St Michael

A Grade I Listed Building in Laxton, Nottinghamshire

Wooden effigy of Margaret, Adam de Everingham’s second wife.

Uploader's Comments

Margaret’s wooden effigy is not in good condition. In 1790s when the antiquary John Throsby visited the church, he found the building in a deplorable condition. The north chancel aisle, where the monument is situated, was particularly bad.
