Hall house on moated site. C16, refronted mid C17, restored C19 and C20. Timber framed. Coursed squared rubble with C20 pantile roof. Ashlar and brick dressings. Single gable and single off- centre ridge stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 5 bays. All front windows are C20 glazing bar sashes. Main south front has off- centre ashlar doorcase flanked by 2 sashes; above, 5 similar sashes. East gable has C20 doorway and 4 irregular unglazed openings, that in gable peak with mask corbel. Rear elevation has lean-to extension under continuous roof, with, to left, single bay porch, C19, flanked to left by mullioned cellar window and to right by single casement and to right again, single shouldered lancet. Beyond, to right, C18 plank door with timber lintel, and single Yorkshire sash. Interior has, to left, timber framed hall with 4 bay posts, one pair with moulded tie beam and arch braces. Above, each pair has another tie beam, one with arch braces. Both have stud and plaster walls, one rising to ridge. Bay to east has single moulded stretcher beam. North and south sides have wall plates, that to north with straight struts. Principal rafter roof, mainly C19. East end has 4 pairs of C17 halved and pegged oak principal rafters and pegged collars. 2 stud partitions. Hall has C16 fireplace with chamfered Tudor arched opening approx. 4 M wide. Elsewhere, 2 early C19 hob grates. East end has C17 dog leg oak staircase with landings and square newel. Other rooms have gypsum floors, 3 C17 panelled oak doors, one with wooden latch, and a single oak plank door.
