Farm buildings range. Mid C18, altered C20. Coursed gritstone
rubble, stone slate roof. 2-storey, 3-bay byre with hay loft
over to left; 11-bay barn right. Quoins.
Byre: centre and end doors with heavy stone surrounds,
tri-stone jambs; stone steps to loft entrance to right of
centre, blocked small square openings with stone lintels under
eaves to left and right. Built as cow byres with central
feeding passage and hay loft over or as stables with
granary/hay loft.
Barn: small blocked cart entrance left, large cart entrance to
right of centre has timber lintel below a cambered arch of
voussoirs; lean-to calf house right, 6 slit vents high up,
lower row blocked, inserted hay door under eaves, centre.
INTERIOR: in the barn a blocked low cart arch opposite the
present entrance; 10 sawn and pegged king post trusses with
punched carpenter's marks in Roman numerals.
