Row of 4 almshouses. 1896. By John E Leake. Red brick, stone
dressings, slate hipped roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. 2- and
3-light square bay windows, continuous parapet over, creating
entrance porches with glazed doors and overlights, short stone
column centre in antis. Upper floor: round-arched sash windows
to outer bays have pediments on brackets above; the inner 2
bays have 2-light windows with ornate pedimented gables above,
moulded copings, ball and vase finials. Tall banded stacks at
each end and forward of ridge, left and right.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of the almshouse group.
